CERMUSA Staff Presenting at SFU's Science Day 2009 on November 24
CERMUSA employees Robert Mainhart, Program Manager, Kent Tonkin, Assistant Director for Information Technology, and Brenda Guzic, Telehealth Research Specialist, will be giving presentations during Saint Francis University's Science Day on November 24, 2009.
Mr. Mainhart's presentation, "Assisting Coal Mine Rescue from the Skies Above," will focus on the capabilities of CERMUSA's Mobile Communications Platform (MCP). He will demonstrate the MCP's use in providing above ground communications to rescue workers in an underground coal mining accident. This presentation will be held in SFU's Pasquerilla Library at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Tonkin's and Ms. Guzic's presentation, "Autism and Drumming Research," will involve demonstrations of technologies being developed to provide music therapy to persons with Autism and other disorders. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a remote electronic drumming session and explore other digital percussion devices. This presentation will be held at CERMUSA's John P. Murtha Rural Telehealth Research Center at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.
